Hi everyone, hope you all celebrated christmas wisely!!
And santa brought you everything you asked for.!! lol.
I am considering a 2inch suspension lift on my ragtop Jimny,
Any help would be appreciated, basically ..can i just fit shocks and springs?
Or, will i also require castor correction bushes, bump stops, extended steering..and extended brake lines, read quite a lot on here ref..different ways..
What would you guys recommend?
I want a bit more travel for off road, but still want sensible on road manners.

Only need extended brake lines if you remove anti roll bar
maybe bump stops if you're using bigger tyres
I would say fit the 2" lift see how it drives then make decision on castor correction ;)

It seems to depend on the car. Some people are perfectly fine with it on just springs and dampers. Others seem to find it needs castor correction to be drivable. Most seem to start with the basics and go from there.

Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

I'd suggest a 2" trail Master Kit. Seems like the right thing for you. Extending bumpstops is always a good idea when installing longer shocks, due to risk of damaging the shocks when bottoming out on standard bumpstops.

Hi, again..i have biten the bullet so to speak, and purchased a 2inch Black Raptor kit, from Big Jimny.!
My next question, a lot of people talk about the 'jimny lean'..mine doesnt seem to suffer from this, looking at the springs with the kit, 2 x long..2 x short, will i need to fit a spacer as some recommend? or just fit as it comes??
Thanks, sorry but i am a bit of a novice with suspension kits on these cars..any help would be much appreciated, i intend to fit as soon as weather allows..also do i really need spring compressors??
Thanks.

You are, of course, not buying it from BigJimny as I do not sell this kit. I sell Trailmaster.

But do remember to check your bumpstops now with longer shocks. They may need to be extended as well. Otherwise shocks may be damaged on bottoming out.
