This was Wednesday, it was a bit wet, but not excessively so. There was no downpour in the morning, just a bit of drizzle. There was snow where they were coming from, but as they went down the M25 and M4 then obviously that was clear.

The salesman was a really nice guy, but obviously doesn't know too much about 4WD. The green light showing the axles was on the dashboard, and the wheels snatched on my driveway when I moved it, so it was definitely in 4WD. I pressed 2WD and there was definitely a difference. This is the 2013 Jimny (don't know if the others are different) that has the three push buttons.

I've put together an email which I'm going to send to them, asking for it to be inspected at their expense.

Are you a member of the AA cos I think you need support. Me, I'd be tempted to walk away from the vehicle but it is easy to say and not so easy to do.

Funnily enough, the car came with free RAC cover AND warranty. I'm not too sure what they will think of it. I've sent the email and await their response. Suzuki said they won't be responding until at least the middle of next week(!). As I said, a mechanic at my local dealer says it should be ok.

+1 on that.
Still, it would always be a niggle in my mind. When my Junior was dropped off the transporter I ran the engine for a short while before I checked the oil.......it was as near as dammit empty. I expect it was loaded on like that and I bet run like that earlier. Thank the Lord I didn't drive her around ot drive her back for delivery. To this day I wonder if it took miles off the engine. Sure she is a really sweet runner, most say it is sooooo quiet but still.....................

Methinks you worry too much John ;-)

I wouldn't stress over it (as Martin says). Its tough enough to survive that. If its as you describe then all is working well :-)

Yes thanks, I do tend to worry about things. As was said if it is OK that's OK. I was more ranting about shocking dealerships and garages than anything.

I used to think competition between dealers would bring about better service. But that has happened. I'm afraid my trust in any garage is zero, unless I know them personally.
