Jimny Turbo replacement parts was created by sterfry1456
Hi everyone! Im in need of some major advice. I have a 1996 Suzuki Jimny Wild Wind with the K6A 3 cylinder Turbo engine. The turbo on my engine is completely dead (bearings shot). I have a contact in Japan who I can get parts from but when I asked him the price for a complete new intercooler it was like $2,600 US. So my question is if I should look for a used one somewhere, if so where do I look? Or if I just need to get new bearings possibly? Attached is an engine schematic and I would greatly appreciate if someone could give me some insight in the matter. Thanks for all your help!

Finding anything locally is out of the question because I live on the island of St. Kitts, but if that is a for sure fit I could buy one off ebay and have it sent here. Can you confirm that this would be a direct replacement?

Can confirm it's not a direct fit....You have (I've not seen it)an IHI turbo...grab the part number from the inlet side something like Spec VZ53 0705 and 58JA1.

Google the numbers and place an order.......St Kits eh.....it's cold and dank in Leeds!!

Many years ago I had one & when I moved I ended up giving it to Leigh Catherick... who broke it !!!!!! Its possible he may still have the parts. Call him on 01227 720852

Looking for a nice clean and straight LHD Jimny..... Not any more.
Got one that seems to have been magnatized and driven through the "Big Jimny Bits" parts stores too quickly so it missed a few items.

So I pulled this serial number off the turbo.... HT0C-3B 5X 290 . Anyone have any idea what this means and where I can look now for a replacement based on this?
Last edit: 07 Nov 2016 21:14 by sterfry1456. Reason: wrong number
