Agreed, wouldn't touch a no-name set like that with a barge-pole.

I use my vehicle for a lot of off-road work, and need a lift and suspension upgrade bigtime. I can probably stretch my wallet to one of the cheaper sets going (Pro-Comp, Rough Country, etc), but have decided to wait until I can afford a Trailmaster set. Like someone said above, buy cheap, buy twice.

From the sounds of your requirements, a suspension lift isn't vital, you'll be surprised at what a Jimny can do with some MT tyres alone. Have some patience and do the suspension upgrade properly.

Whilst i'm sure your right in regards to the quality i just cant justify £500 on a modification to a car that gets used twice a week.

Thanks for the advice but with that in mind dare i ask what you think of this kit on ebay?

Don't do it!!! I bought this kit, Springs and shocks arrived by different couriers and from different suppliers. the springs are OK but the shocks are sh*#e. they spring to full extension as soon as you cut the plastic ties, the bushes have to be drilled out to fit ( I checked with the seller as I thought they'd sent the wrong ones, but they hadn't) I changed the shocks out for Pro comp as I've had them before and am happy with them as a budget shock after one of the rears broke the bottom mount and took the panhard rod out with it.

On the 8th Day God made the LandRover -
On the 9th day he swapped it for a Jimny.

Gas shocks are pressurised so they should spring to full extension unless they have leaked. Any shocks can break the shock mounts on a Jimny if you don't have the bump stops set correctly.
