VITARA ROAD tyre size help was created by JamJim
Hey boys. I've got a 2010 LWB Vitara as my daily driver. I've got the OEM wheels and tyres fitted, 225/70/16. I want to upgrade to 17 x 7.5 aftermarket wheels and I need your advice on what tyres sizes to get. 235/55/17 or 235/60/17.

I really want to go with 55's, since the factory tyres look like truck tyres, my concern is will they be noticeably smaller?

Has anyone upgraded the wheels on their 06+ vits? What's tyre sizes were used?

A 235/60 r17 would be a close match and should work well, but 235/55 r18 would be even better if you could get hold of some 18 inch rims.

I went with a 225/60/17

Despite what everyone at the wheel shop and the Internet said - they turned out to be exactly the same diameter as the stock 225/70/16 and they look great. Thick enough to stay comfortable and aesthically appealing
