So took the JImny down to the garage, guy said front drivers side disc is binding on so possibly a seized caliper, he said that may have warped the disc causing the wobble so that's the first thing to fix. He's going to get back to me with a price to replace both calipers, discs and pads. I'll then see if the dealer I bought it from will cover any of the cost of all that as I'm not too happy that it was sold in this condition.

You should take to the dealer now and tell them you've had an inspection from another.garage

Yeah think I'll ring him now as after reading this looks like the law is on my side:- www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/car-buyers...cbg_legalrights.html as its not fit for purpose and is a safety issue.

I read your 'My Jimny' thread the_goshawker and saw that you'd painted your spare wheel bracket and de-badged yours so I did the same this weekend, I prefer the cleaner look :)

Had the front brakes sorted, new drivers side caliper, discs and pads both sides and change of fluid, £284 all in of which the dealer agreed to pay £204 as only the drivers side was defective but I thought whilst getting it sorted might as-well renew both sides at once. I'm happy with that, the wobble remains at 45 mph though but I suspect that will be the kingpin bearings so I'm going to tackle that job myself as I've done the job before on a previous Jimny I had.

Fitted a dog cage today so took the mutt for a walk further afield, had to go up a green lane though to get there :woohoo: great fun and was a good test for the 4WD.
