Ollie's Lil Blue Jim. was created by OllieNZ
Hi All,
Giving the amount of work that's about to go into my jimny I've decided it's time for a thread on it.
Purchased it in march with a suspected head gasket issue.

So quickly set to work sorting that out.

Had the head skimmed.

And with it all running nicely for a couple of months decided to start collecting bits for getting it offroad ready.
235 75 blackstar tyres
File Attachment:

Extended brake lines.
File Attachment:

And then last Thursday this happened.

So I dismantled the back end to make sure there was no additional damage and found a not insignificant amount of rust.
Starting to deal with it

Lifted the body for access and started removing the rust

Unfortunately the back end of the arches are not very good either.

I'm going to put a flat floor in so started to trim the edges to match

The rear sill is complete, just waiting for the under seal to dry. So decided to tidy up the rear axle and radius arms while they're off

Been a busy evening....
Pulled apart the front end and fitted new springs, shocks and the extended hoses.
The front shocks were well and truly fubar
