further update,

these problems have returned, generally at slow speed under high loads (such as a long slow climb) the engine tends to die as soon as you stop, leave it 10 mins and it restarts fine. it also feels as if it is losing power on these climbs also.

So, the big question is....... is it likely to still be the cam sensor?

only asking as my local zook garage want £75 inc vat for it!!!
(for a G13BB engine type)
