sorry for asking again but now I have got a little more info
so I have a genuine Suzuki sat nav entertainment system that was already in our 2017 jimny adventure 2017 pictures below
every think works fine apart from the sat nav
you must have a sd card with the sat nav files on I believe you can see in pictures were it goes below
I have hunted all over the internet and cannot find this entertainment system so I can get the sd card to get the sat nav working

any one know what this sat nav is and is it fitted only to late jimny models including the gen4 or any other type Suzuki cars
when you start it up it comes up with the Suzuki logo on screen so must be a Suzuki part
I cannot find the make there are no logos on it
any body can help thanks john

Have you spoken to your Suzuki dealership parts department, they should be able to identify it and whatever it needs to operate. Probably not the cheapest way but it will take some of the guess work out of the issue.

I test drove a new GEN3 in 2017 and don't recall it having a head unit like yours, I remember a brand name, possibly Pioneer or similar. With it being a standard double din it's an easy swap compared to the earlier Clarion unit which had curved sides etc.
So I guess if it is Suzuki it could be from a different model ??
I don't know for sure, as Lambert said maybe going to a dealership an asking may be the only way.
Alternatively remove the head unit and read the info on the back, it will have a Suzuki part number or manufacturers mark, Google may turn up more help with this.
Sorry I can't help further.

Yokohama Geolanders, Sony head unit, NAUTILUS Air Horn, DRL conversion, Rear cargo space, Elvis Bobblehead, transfer Guard, Indian hanging Elephant, Koni Heavy track dampers, Custom SS exhaust, Voodoo Doll, Adventure Rack with LED ight bar, vintage ERIBA caravan usually attached (yes it's slow)

It's not hard to remove the head unit, but yes you do need a "key" to remove it. Usually it's a thin metal "lollipop" type key or round wire prongs that push down the side of the unit to release the locking tags. I can't see on the photo any obvious entry points so it's hard to say which type is correct or it's genuine Suzuki in which case it has screws. Halfords sell the keys for a few quid but they are cheaper elsewhere.
Alternatively you can remove the complete fascia which MAYgive access to the locking tags from the side or access to the screws if it's Suzuki.
This is a how to video for removing a Suzuki head unit. I removed mine with no problems but the yellow plastic fascia clips can get lost if you are not careful. I lost one, lucky plenty left.
If you have the correct head unit key you don't need to remove the fascia.
The exception is the genuine Suzuki unit, it's held in by screws, so you need to remove the fascia as shown

That site doesn't cover Europe for mapping, just australasia.

Also the pioneer single din unit in our 16 was bolted in, not cage and keys.

Sounds about right. When looking for English mapping I would immediately look at Mexico. Typical Suzuki nonsense.

And the sentence after that which you have not quoted says "unless someone has replied to your post in the meantime", its got nothing to do with the moderator.

You made a comment. I replied. I haven't moderated you. I have replied. The reply could have been from anyone and it would still prevent editing of earlier posts.

I'm sorry you feel that way but it is not the case. You are not being victimized as you suggest. I respond to many many posts every day, not as a way of getting at people but because I have experience with Jimny and am trying hard to be helpful and informative.
