Hello all

Can anybody here help with identifying the correct size and length of bolt on the swivel seals, and am I right in thinking that there are eight bolts on each seal?

If you need some new ones, I think Martin sells them in the Big Jimny shop.

Thanks for the info on that

I'm sort of preparing myself for the job - I'm very limited on metric nuts and bolts but think I might have some stainless M6 bolts that are long enough that I can cut down if needed.
Hopefully mine will be reusable

I just want to be prepared and not caught out

Galvanic corrosion. Don't use stainless, they will never come back out. Most of the holes are blind and would be an utter mess to get the remnants of little stainless screws out of.

Your quite right Lambbert.

Luckily I have a tub of THIS - we use it on jet engine casing bolts that get up to some horrific temperatures. Never had a seized bolt.
Unbelievably its made by Bostik - a company that usually make products for gluing things together!

I suspected that you might have something like that given your field of endeavour. Better safe than sorry.

Holy Krap!
Now that IS a good example!!!

Aircraft suffer mostly from where alloy structure has steel fasteners go through it
