Advice on knocking on rear end

More

Just looking for a few suggestions.
Even the slightest bump in a road sends a bone jarring knock through the back of the jimny. Feels like its running with no tyres

Looks to be no play in the radius arms and I know at least one rear shock is suspect so I've got a pair of replacement shocks on the way.

Anything else I need to have a look at ?

Thanks

I have had similar experiences with no obvious play in a radius arm bush but replacement cured the knock.

Exhaust hangers? Had a knocking on mine - hanger had gone above the rear silencer.

oddly enough, the exhaust is new but been put on badly and knocking most of the length including the back box. Easily sorted though.

Its more of a bang when the car goes over bumps rather than a knock. Almost like no suspension. Dont think its the arms. I'll see how it goes after changing the rear shocks.

Had this on mine recently. It was one of the lower shock bolts. It was tight but managed to get another 1/2 turn on it, problem solved. Hope yours is as simple. :)

Cheers. The new shocks land today and hopefully the job will be straight forward.

I had a good poke round underneath last night whilst getting lots of plusgas on the shock bolts. It looks like its had recent rear springs and I'd say never been offroaded so hopefully all the bolts will come straight out.
The back rear shock does look to be not very well bolted up at the top mount so that may well be the issue.

All sorted. I got lucky with this. Some previous owner had copper slipped all 4 bolts.
New shocks fitted, 30 minute job.
Done a test run and all good.
Happy days.
