I’d better rip my DRL’s out today so I don’t get classed as a clown....

Me too... I fitted them to give my daily driver Jimny a 'modern look'

Well I'm one of the clowns who has his lights on no matter what the weather or time of day, why not?

Just my opinion but constantly running lights is also constantly putting extra drain on the alternator increasing fuel use even if it's only a little bit, it also means less power available for forward motion. I also find it makes seeing other drivers indicators a lot more difficult as for all it is flashing a different colour it is still being masked by the glare of the headlights or non dimming led Drls and in daylight that is an issue. As i said before it also encourages people to do the same with out bothering to turn off their main beam and often their fog lights and if there's a long line of oncoming cars all lit up like Blackpool it can distract you from things like cycling types on your side of the road. I agree that in low light or poor visibility lights are essentially important but in clear good conditions they are not needed.
