Hi all.
Daughters 06 jim is sucking air into the cat, and/or blowing gas out.

The pipe from the manifold seems to go into cat, but has split a seam?

Whilst it does not seem about to fall off, as the pipe goes into the cat, and it is all holding up, do you have any advice on this one?

Bunged a load of gun gum round the joint, wrapped in chicken wire (as you do), but it keeps splitting.

Best wishes to you all, The trogmeister.

Thanks jack, but you have not seen my welding!
Am more likely to blow a massive hole in it, or weld myself to it.

It will cause the Lamda reading to go out of spec and fail an MOT.

After all these years the heat has brought the carbon out of solution in the iron and you have an unweldable metal there so sorry but time for a new cat. Our 07 had one a year or so ago.

Try Euro Car Parts online, they keep emailing me offers and I was surprised how cheap they are
