OK, stupid question, but is this a wiring diagram for a relay, and if so, what type of relay is it?

That's the relay and as far as I know, it's a standard 5 pin automotive relay (at least that's what I asked for and got when wiring my spots).

Sorry Guardian Angel I know it's a bit late, but as Jimnyash said, yes it is a wiring diagram of a relay.
If you buy a set of the ring spot light you will get a 4 pin relay and fitting kit in the box.

4 pin is a single pole relay
5 pin is a change over relay
You can use a 5 instead of a four but not the other way round.
Best price for these relays is Maplin.

Hi I've just bought the same spot lamps as you, just wondering how you mounted the bar on the roof as I have a soft to Jimny too?

Hi Guys

could someone clarify that i'm understanding this correctly in regards to wiring a light bar onto my little Jimny
  1. Negative (-) wire from the light bar to a sutibale earth point
  2. Pos (+) wire from the light bar to pin 87 on the relay
  3. Pin 85 on relay to "Acc" on the switch
  4. Pin 30 direct to the battery Pos (+) through a sutible fuse (15Amp)
  5. Pin 86 daisy chain to pin 30 with a second bridge wire to the negative (-) switch terminal, even though this is live (+) ?
  6. Pos (+) from the switch to the red wire on the headlight plug

This is my understanding of the relay diagram as posted in this post from dirtydogz
www.bigjimny.com/index.php/forum?view=topic&catid=7&id=45978

I'm just not 100% that i am understanding the diagram correctly.

However the light bar is fitted and when hooked up to my jumper pack it burns your flippin eyes out!! LOL
