Lumpy idle cured!! was created by Foxtrot
I have had an irritating lumpy idle when my 2006 (M13 VVT engine) Jimny has warmed up, I looked at the forum for advise and saw that it could be one of three things Crankshaft/Camshaft sensors or the PCV ( positive crankcase ventilation) valve. I discounted the Crankshaft/Camshaft sensors as the engine lights don't come on and the idle needle is fairly stable and the Jimny doesn't cut out. I ordered a new PCV valve for £17.00 and it instantly cured the engine idle back to its normal self :)

Here is a good link that explains how a PCV valve works and what happens when they go faulty, they recommend that these items are changed out regular.

If like me you don't tinker much with engines the valve is just next to the oil dip stick and here is a picture of it, it takes 2 minutes to change out. Part No 18118-54D00

Hi, have you find any online store to buy it? Because I also need one and I can not find where to buy. Thanks!
