Ok so we have now got our new jimny, in royal blue, I will be looking to upgrade suspension with a 2" kit. On my last jimny I fitted steel modular s with 215/75 bfg a/t tyres, the wheels had an offset of 7. I think. What offset wheels will I need for the new jimny. I hope to run either 205 or 215 tyres.

15x7 rims are as wide as you an go without some offset. Jimnybits do some with a -15 offset which is ideal.
215/75r15 tyres is all i can comment on, but on standard wheels with no offset they worked fine and didnt catch, as soon as i added some 30mm spacers (e.g. -30mm offset), the front tyres caught on the bumper and arch trims near the bottoms. This is on a 2007 jimny.

Is that your new jimny in the picture
If you're not putting a lift on it then 215/75/15 with 0 off set wheels
If you're going to lift it 2" then 215/75/15 with -30 off set will fit
If you're not putting a lift on it then 215/75/15 with 0 off set wheels
If you're going to lift it 2" then 215/75/15 with -30 off set will fit

I managed with std alloys and no offset with 215's, no catching other than full lock at parking speeds and only a touch.
I wanted a broader footprint and went to -30mm and with now, new suspension, they are fine.
So, std is ok and anywhere up to -30 should be ok if your suspension is in good nick or lifted.

thanks sniper, at the moment i have standard suspension, although I have just placed an order with martin for the 2" lift kit. When i bought the vehicle all the tyres were perished and split in the treads due to being stood so the dealer i bought it off had 4 new tyres fitted. I just want a set of steel wheels with a/t tyres fitted
