Things to replace before under-sealing was created by bowji john
Good morning All

Forgive me if this has been covered ad nauseum before but here goes .....

Jimny due for MOT
I want to underseal the car once MOT gives it an OK
Also want to take opportunity to do a 2" lift

I do not want to cover such things as engine/suspension mounts in gunk only to find that they need replacing down the line

In addition to the basic 2" kit, what other bits should I consider replacing before under sealing the whole lot?

Thanks in advance

John

The basic principle is that no movable parts in the underbody should be sprayed over. Examples are rear brake cables, front vacuum pipes, suspension joints and bushes, wiring connectors etc.

So make the effort to properly temporarily wrap/protect such parts before spraying, and then spray.
