I fancy the avo shocks for my new Jimny.....But if you can afford them....and you've been good then treat yourself.
Halford did a writeup on them

I run AVO's and think they are great. The adjustability allows you to fine tune when you make changes elsewhere, I fitted superpro ARB bushes and they made the car very bouncy, stiffen the dampers a couple of clicks and the bounce is gone. Very useful for me as I am changing my car over an extended period.
Been fine off road too....

When it comes to shocks. You really get what you pay for.
But still consider this. The cost of this Premium Raptor kit still wont buy you a full suspension kit from Trail Master. I would definitely save up a bit more and get the Trail Master kit. Then you know what you get and what it's made for.
The Jjimnybits springs seems to sag over time. The Trail Master don't. And also with Trail Master shocks, you know what they're made for and where and who made them. The Black Raptor shocks, no one knows who makes them, and what they're made for.

Im with sniper I'm afraid Tom,
I had a trailmaster kit and whilst it was miles better than the original gear in terms of comfort and ease, I do much prefer my AVOs combined with the Zanfi diesel progressive springs (From you Tom
). Couldn't comment on the black raptors, other than to say they LOOK like a direct copy (or licensed re-branding) of the AVO, so would expect them to be identical bar the paint and logo's, but as I say they only LOOK the same in web pics.
The adjustable option is very desirable for me. I find I tend to knock them down to softer for a bit of green-laning, then harder for the road home or faster 'laning. They sort out bounce easily and have the correct dimensions to fit and not catch. I know most people would suggest harder for the 'laning but I've found I like a softer ride

All good points where is the best to view the trail master kit so I can have a read up. tbh I won't be doing hard core greenlaning
