Hi I have just replaced all bushes on my Jimny.
Have a small niggle regarding tcase bushes.
I have used jimnybits bolt thru bushes instead of stock square ones. When pulling away I got a vibration so tightened them up a tad more and its changed the sound, before I do any more what am I looking for when tightening these up?? Is there a torque setting?? I normally tighten till the rubber starts to bulge. Or is this just what they do. Tempted to go back to stock ones cause an upgrade shouldn't make more noise.

Possibly a bolt touching the inside of the hole on one of the chassis mounts?
When I fit mine I like to have the head of the bolt underneath, just incase it grounds out, better to scratch the head of the bolt than the thread...
Also, if you fit them that way you can stack the two bigger bushes in place first 'loosely' (with the transfer box and mounting arms on the bushes) and see from underneath that the bolt hole is centrally located, then poke the bolt up from underneath and tighten everything up... Sorted!

Cheers Dave I think it is?? I hear what your saying..
Yeah gotta be a bit of the bolt against the edge of the hole on the mounts or maybe my t case guard. And yep the two bolts drivers side have the head at the bottom for clearance and it don't matter with the third as its elevated. I'll give it a reshuffle tomo
Just the job cheers and thanks for your time. All the best mate

I think you will always get noise transfer from these types of mount.
If you look at the originals the bolt doesn't go all the way through. It's damped in the middle with rubber to take away vibrations and noise.
With the bolt through ones, they're strong so your transfer box outriggers take the brunt of impacts and torque where the transfer box is trying to turn. I had to have an outrigger welded up.
This is what the rear off-side transfer box mount outrigger looked like:
This is what it looks like after my friend repaired it and beefed it up for me:
The stock mounts don't last long if you do any off roading though. I used to get through a few before I got a Rocklobster. Now that vibrates and makes noises with the solid mounts!
