Y plate manual gear box was created by mike83
Hi boys and girls just replaced my breather pipes this morning and whilst doing gearbox breather I noticed a rubber bung in the gear box just forward of the breather pipe. It pulled out easy and went back in easy too. What the ???? Is it and what's it for???? Inspection hole for fluid level?????
Is it a Jimmy version of the land rover wading plugs???

Also can anyone tell me the tapping thread size and size of airline barb used on the transfer cases. Need to tap it as a plastic bard pushed in the hole is my only weak link ATM in my breather set up. Looks a 1\4 inch to me????

Cheers in advance
