Yes, 12mm. Try an offset ring spanner or socket on a 1/4 inch ratchet or T-bar

You can gain a bit more space for access by removing the bolts at each side of the top of the radiator and tilting the radiator forward an inch or so.

thanks all i have done all tbese things prior to asking for help it appears that the bolt head was less than 12mm after the dealership fixed the blown crank pully and tighted it with a gorrilla. sso 12mm no longer fits even a 6 sided socket.
kind of stuffed at mo horse shoe nail, etc.

cheers just

Try an 11mm or a knackered bolt extractor

Have you got any AF sockets or Whitworth sockets or even BA sockets or as previous try knocking on a 11mm socket. There are sockets that are a different shape that are made for just this sort of thing. One make is called metrinch. The lands are curved so that the 13mm will undoe a 1/2 inch for example.

If you haven't done it yet, whip the radiator out, then you can attack from the front. I can get mine out in less than an hour (55 minutes is waiting for the water to stop draining out ;) )

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Stoopid answer, but I presume you have slackened off the nut on the front of the pulley bearing that locks it in place?
