If the Jimny cam and the baleno cam are the same diameter on the cam pick up end you could swap the 2 lobe ring for the 11 lobe. The cam would then rev as normal. You would have to make sure you got in exactly the same place by marking the 2 cams up first. A little bearing puller should pull it off ok.

Gold Jimny the best colour (sold) :(

Big red Jimny 32" tyres, arbs, cage 5:1 transfer etc. (Sold)

Grey pick up Jimny
Turbo m13a, arbs, floating rear shafts, disc conversion rear, vented front conversion. 245 70 16. Winch, 3" lift, 4:16 trans hd shafts and CVS

But why not just change the pick up cam. It is very easy to do, and there are already marks on the pick up and the cam shaft it self. I did it when I changed camshafts and head.

Hello.

A question. Would it be interesting to verify that the g13 and g16 camshaft had the same lift and the same angles of opening and closing of the valves?

This would allow interchangeability without affecting G16B engine performance

Thanks

The G16B camshaft has a longer duration, I think that it has a little more lift too.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

What do mean did you pull the part with the 2 lobes off the camshaft and swap it with the jimny one ?
If so what did you use james mentioned a small bearing puller ?
Cheers for the help guys

Yes.
My Jimny is a 2003 RHD softtop which has the camshaft pickup ring with 2 lugs.
Some months ago the camshaft seized in the head, so I had to find a new head and camshaft. But here in Denmark we only have Jap built Jimnys with the camshaft with 11 lugs on the pickup ring.

So long story short, I used a standard puller to pull the 2 lug ring off the old ruined camshaft and put it on a new used camshaft I got from a breaker.

When you hold the two camshafts up next to eachother you'll see that it's not that hard to swap these pickup rings. But off course always make a few marks, just in case. I you want, I can take a few pics of the old camshaft and ring tomorrow :)
