Which wire is for the rear foglight?! was created by distantcamera
Hi folks,

Trying to get my Jimny back together after fitting the towbar kit. The instructions from here identify all the wires that I need to join for the trailer lights apart from the rear fog light. Can anyone tell me which wire it is? I'm using the loom inside the rear trim next to the passenger side back seat.

Cheers :D

*Just noticed that I posted to the wrong section. Could a kind mod please move it to technical?*

Yeah, I was hoping not to have to start cutting wires to find out...

I have discovered that the red wire which is sidelights on the jimny in the instructions is actually the reverse lights on my 1999 hard top, so now I don't know which wire is the lights either

Oh, and I said it when I first saw them years ago, and I'll repeat it now. Scotch clips are crap!

And for all the googlers out there here is the answer:

On my 1999 Jimny Hardtop Japanese built 1.3 SOHC

Foglights: Green and Black
Sidelights: Red and Yellow
Reverse: Red
Brakes: Green and White
Left Indicator: Green and Red
Right Indicator: Green and Yellow

Job done :cheer:

Yes, if I ever bump into Mr Suzuki I shall ask him why the hell he didn't just make a removeable panel in that trim instead of making us remove trim, more trim, seats etc. I'm also fairly sure that there is no need for the bumper bolts to be underneath the lights!

Still, at least all the manly metal bits behaved themselves :cheer:
