Obviously. And I'm nothing if not adaptable. So to make a long weekend of it what else is there to do down there that isn't infested with people or speed cameras?

I have started putting ideas into the main details page.

For driving related I can recommend Green Laning on Salisbury plain, lots of byways to drive.

For touristy type things then there is Windsor and the castle within easy reach.

I liked Windsor, they have Lego. Never been off Salisbury plane but keep hearing interesting things about it. What's the blacktop like down there? Any decent twisties?

Nice one for putting all this together Martin. Looking forward to it.

I'll also be camping as It's a long trek from Liverpool. Might be an idea to get numbers for people planning to camp to make sure we can get somewhere we can all be accommodated. Happy to sort this out.

Just booked my 2 night pitch at Wellington Country Park. Not sure yet if I can camp in the Jimny or not but I do have a small tent that I used for a Scooter rally.

I guess that I could camp. Or find a bnb nearby and be both sociable and have a decent night's sleep?

That sounds much more civilised! Chill out at the camp site for a few hours and then go and warm back up in the hotel.
