Thanks Lambert,

Gen 4 owners - dont be put off by the extreme pictures, they are just the popular bits to photograph and you will appreciate with my Jimny that that was why we were in that area. In the pretty unlikely event that Suzuki manage to deliver a brand new SZ5 in blue that we are looking for then you would see our new Jimny there as well.

In addition to the sites own marking of tracks we will try and identify any specific hazards and even give some "tuition" if anyone feels unsure (note we are only happy amateurs giving guidance to happy amateurs!).

CB - yes I will be on CB (when in my own car) - UK Chan 8 I will propose.

Martin

2003 M13 early KAP build.
3" Trailmaster lift with 1.5 Spacers on front
Customised winch bumper and roll cage
235/85R16 Maxxis Bighorns on 16" Rims, 4:1 Rocklobster, Rear ARB locker and on-board air
Corrected arms all-round, rear disks, Recaro seats and harnesses

Although it will be nice to have a gentle play on the easy bits of the site, the main reason I'm going is to meet everyone and check out all the lovely Jimnys. :)

My own perception is that new owners will also want to experience the traction control and hill descent control and I am sure there are opportunities to press the buttons and see what happens. I have driven off-road a lot in electronic system Range Rovers and its good to experience them working. Typically you have to feed in some torque to make them work so there is the learning point of how much power to feed in in "goldilocks" terms (not to little, not too much, just the right amount)

Just wanted to add do also try it at idle. I repeated the Stoneleigh Park course with zero throttle input and was surprised by how well it did. There are a couple of tricks to it, but it's worth testing out.

I've now booked for this event. B)

My neighbour Wendy has also booked her vehicle seperately, so we will cruise there together in a two-ship convoy :)

I'm really looking forward to this event and meeting up with as many forum members as possible.
